Yu Yutopia, Termed As ‘World’s Most Powerful Smartphone’ To Launch in Diwali!

Yu Televentures, a subsidiary of Micromax wants to create a splash this Diwali – as per reports, they are planning to launch Word’s Most Powerful Smartphone. The name of the smartphone, most aptly, is kept Yu Yutopia. The work on this phone is currently in progress, and is codenamed as ‘Project Achilles’ internally.

While there has been no leaks on how the smartphone actually looks, the packaging box clearly states that “YUTOPIA – The most powerful phone ever

Interestingly, BGR says the phone will be manufactured in India and will be launched in time for Diwali – the announcement and feelers should start coming in in next couple of weeks.

Infact, Micromax Founder and CEO, Rahul Sharma has already hinted at the beast in his tweet on 25th September.

It is quite possible that Yutopia is the phone called Yu5050, which was seen onGeekbench listing a few days back. Yu5050 also showed up on import/export site Zuaba a few days back. However, if the phone is ‘Made in India’, there is no question of import listing. It might very well be possible that both are different phones as well (we are just speculating right now).

It might also be a case, where this phone may be assembled in India, and fully built pre-production units may be put together in China.

Whatever the case, the phone will boast top of the line specifications. The phone is expected to come with 2K Display, 4GB of RAM,  21-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 5.2-inch screen and powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor. As far as storage goes, it will have 32Gb storage with option of expandable SD card slot. The phone will be based on Cyanogenmod OS based on Android 5.1.1.

Some rumours suggest that their will be a lower variant that will have 3GB RAM and Full HD Display.

This will be first phone from Yu stable that will be priced above Rs. 10,000. All of their phones till date have been sub-10k phones. We expect the price to be around Rs. 20,000. Yu Yutopia will essentially slug it out with OnePlus 2

We will keep you posted as soon as we get more details.
