YU YUPIX mobile photo printer with WiFi and NFC connectivity launched for Rs. 6999

While YU has been focussing on budget smartphones, the company has now launched its mobile photo printer – YU YUPIX.


YU, a subsidiary of Micromax, has announced the launch of the YU YUPIX mobile photo printer. The device boasts of offering high quality photo prints of 3.4 x 2.1 inches in just 60 seconds. The device can be connected to using NFC and WiFi and is said to be faster than the other printers that are connected with Bluetooth. The printer uses Dye Sublimation technology, offering a printing resolution of 291 dpi and can print 10 continuous copies.

The YU YUPIX mobile photo printer has Ink Ribbon and Photo Paper Integrated into it thus making it water and fingerprint proof. The device comes with a standalone Android app that would allow the user to wirelessly connect their smartphone through WiFi Direct or NFC. The app can also be used edit the images before printing. The printer is priced at Rs. 6999 and would be available exclusively on Amazon from September 7.
