We already reported that Xiaomi is hosting a launch event tomorrow at the China National Convention Center. This event is going to be one big event as we are expecting the unveiling of Xiaomi Mi 5, Redmi Note 2 Pro, Mi Pad 2 as well as Xiaomi’s smartwatch. Out of these devices, the launch of Mi Pad 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro is already confirmed.

Now, according to a teaser posted by Xiaomi on their official Weibo account, what was being called the Redmi Note 2 Pro might actually be called the Redmi Note 3, and, will be launched under the same name at tomorrow’s event.

The Redmi Note 2 Pro was essentially same as the Redmi Note 2 with some differences like metal body, thickness and the fingerprint scanner at the back. The name of the Redmi Note 2 Pro has changed, not the specs.
