Motorola has been sending invites to media for an event to be held on New Delhi on December 1. By the hints it posted on the social media it is clear the launch will be Moto 360 (2nd Gen)
Moto 360 ( 2nd Gen) was first seen at IFA 2015, it come in 3 versions for men, women and sports. The 1st comes in 46mm and 42mm sizes and the 2nd comes only in 42mm. The price of the smartwatch starts at $299 (approx Rs 19800) in the US and goes up to $429 (about Rs 28400) depending on the configuration chosen.
Taking a closer look at its specs, the 1.37-inch screen variant of the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) sports a resolution of 360 x 325 pixels at a density of 263ppi. The 1.56-inch model features a resolution of 360 x 330 pixels at 233ppi. Both are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and are powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor.
The SoC works in harmony with an Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 450MHz and 512MB of RAM. The Motorola device contains 4GB of internal storage and is compatible with the Android and iOS platforms. The manufacturer has further equipped it with IP67 certification, which means it can survive immersion in up to 30 feet of water for 30 minutes.
The 42mm version of the Moto 360 comes with a 300mAh battery and the 46mm one houses a 400mAh unit. Both are supposed to last for a full day of mixed use with Ambient on. The Sports variant features a special AnyLight hybrid display. It adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the surrounding environment, utilizing the LCD screen indoors and natural light outdoors.
