India’s biggest online ticketing platform which delivers minimum 10 lakhs tickets a day now partners with Mobikwik for their default app payment, however, other payment options like Net banking, Credit/Debit card, Cash cards like ITZ cash, OXI Cash card and Wallets like Paytm and Airtel Money are also available.
Commenting on the launch MobiKwik Founder and CEO Bipin Preet Singh said, “It gives us great pleasure to announce that IRCTC has chosen MobiKwik as its preferred mobile wallet partner. Now that MobiKwik is integrated with the IRCTC Connect app, users can experience ‘super-fast, express’ payments and book all their rail tickets in a flash. MobiKwik wallet offering utmost ease and security in transactions,”
MobiKwik claims a near 100 percent success rate in processing payments. “When retailers integrate MobiKwik’s wallet interface, users get to make the payment from within the retailer’s platform and no re-direction to MobiKwik is required. This allows complete ease of payments where transaction failure is nearly non-existent,” Singh said.
According to IRCTC’s latest disclosure, it crossed Rs. 20,620 crores in revenues from online ticketing double the revenue of Flipkart for the year ending March 2015.
IRCTC also launched their own wallet in 2013 through which travelers can book their tickets. However, according to reports, it is not being used much for bookings. In first four months of the launch of their own eWallet, only 32000 passengers registered for the same.
