Another Chinese phone maker Gionee has launched its smartphone in its P series – the P7, which is a successor to the P7 Max. This new phone from Gionee has priced aggressively at Rs. 9,999 and will be up for sale via major online and offline stores all over India. Gionee P7 will be available in White, Latte Gold, and Grey color options.
Gionee P7 comes with a glass back with ribbon pattern on it and metal edges. It is a toned down version of the P7 Max, which was launched a few weeks back. Gionee P7 has a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 2GB of RAM, it also has an inbuilt storage of 16GB (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The Gionee P7 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 UI on top.
The camera on the back is powered by an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Gionee P7 is backed by a 2300mAh battery, which is touted by Gionee to deliver 259 hours of standby time. The device supports connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio.
Gionee P7 doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor, which is found on most of the recently launched phones even under 8K price segment. We wonder what Gionee is up to, as devices like P7 stand nowhere in front of phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 that offer far better specifications under the same price range.
