Asus recently launched the ZenFone 2 family of smartphones in India, but it didn’t launch the Zenfone Zoom in the country. This maybe because of its high price tag, but that isn’t stopping the company from making one more variant of the device. Yes, the launch of a new variant of the ZenFone 2 is on the cards.
According to a new report, the Asus ZenFone Selfie could be launched soon. It features a 13-megapixel front-facing camera as opposed to 5-megapixel front-facing cameras in the rest of the ZenFone 2 family. It will also feature dual-tone dual-LED flash on the front for better selfies, and laser autofocus system for the rear-facing 13-megapixel camera just like the LG G4. Other hardware specifications will be similar to the ZenFone 2 – a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 2/4GB RAM, 16/32/64GB storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
The device might be announced at the Zensation event at Computex that will happen next month. Whether or not it will be released in India is a different matter altogether, but we will keep you updated.
