Airtel’s 3G network goes live in Goa

Airtel’s 3G own network signals are now live in many parts Goa indicating its ready for launching 3G service in Goa circle.

Currently Airtel provides 3G service in Goa using ICRA with Vodafone and Idea. Airtel had won 3G spectrum in Maharashtra & Goa circle during the auction in March 2015. In the auction, Airtel had also bagged 3G spectrum in additional 6 circles were it currently don’t have 3G network.

Earlier we had reported Airtel was set to expand its 3G, 4G networks ahead of Reliance Jio launch. Airtel is aggressively expanding its 3G and 4G footprint across the country before the entry of rivals like Reliance Jio, Vodafone and Idea Cellular into the 4G space.
